Welcome

I would like to start by saying thank you for dropping by.  A little about my choice for this blog and a bit about who I am will be the topic for today.

I was a teen mom.  I got pregnant with my daughter (who is now 12) when I was 16.  I never intended to get pregnant so young, but some choices come with lifetime consequences.  However, I do not regret the decision to keep my daughter.  Most of the people around me and others at school thought that I would just end up a statistic, a single teen mom drop out.  I however was not going to stand for that.  I realized the decision I had made and knew that some how, some way I would get the strength to get through this.  The reason for this blog is to show teen girls that even though they may be in the same shoes I was, does not mean it is the end of the world.  You have choices and no one can tell you what is best for you.  Please understand that I am not saying it is okay to get pregnant so young, I just want girls to know that there are others who have been in their shoes and have made it out just fine.

I did make it through and I am a very proud mother of my 12 year old honer student.  I now have 3 children total and am very happily married.  I  will turn 30 next month and I guess I am okay with that...  I lost my job a year and a half ago and now am a stay at home mom.  Things do not always turn out the way you had wished them to be, but you can be strong enough to get through it.
